HANOI, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's auto sales in 2025 topped 375,700 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 10.5 percent, the Vietnam News Agency has reported, citing the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association.
December sales jumped 49 percent from a year earlier to 47,067 vehicles, one of the strongest monthly performances in recent years amid various promotions, according to the report on Tuesday.
Toyota led the market in 2025 with 71,954 units sold, followed by Ford and Mitsubishi.
The association said the strong finish in 2025 has created positive momentum for 2026, while noting that market prospects will hinge on tax and credit policies, interest rates, and the shift toward fuel-efficient, hybrid, and electric vehicles. ■
