VLADIVOSTOK, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Representatives from more than 70 countries and regions gathered here on Wednesday at a forum to discuss opportunities for cooperation and sustainable development in the Far East.
The 10th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which ends on Saturday, is titled "The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity."
The opening day featured a forum on falcons, focusing on biodiversity conservation, eco-tourism and falconry traditions. Russia's Ministry of Natural Resources presented an interactive "Falcon House" exhibition with live birds.
Additionally, a forum on creative industries was convened to refine proposals for Russia's forthcoming national strategy on cultural and creative development.
The event's business program will feature over 100 sessions divided into seven thematic areas covering topics such as investment and innovation, logistics, urban development and public-private partnerships. It also features a diverse cultural and sports program. ■
