BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) -- China's surface temperature rose by 0.24 degrees Celsius every 10 years from 1951 to 2017, higher than the global average temperature rise, according to an official blue paper released on Tuesday.

The temperature rises varied within the country, with the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau having the highest temperature increase over the past six decades, said the blue paper issued by the China Meteorological Administration.

The annual average precipitation of China had no obvious changes between 1961 and 2017, but the precipitation levels since 2012 were continuously above the annual average, it said.

The country's total precipitation in 2017 reached 641.3 millimeters, 1.8 percent more than the annual average, it said.
